Car Collection Motorsport’s Alex Fontana led a top five entirely occupied by Pro-Am entries in the second and final Free Practice session for the Lenovo Gulf 12 Hours.

The Swiss driver steered the No. 12 Porsche 911 GT3 R to a best lap of 1:51.822, setting the fastest time of the weekend so far in the process.

He outpaced Kessel Racing’s David Fumanelli by 0.302 seconds. Fumanelli, piloting the No. 11 Ferrari 296 GT3 that led FP1 in the hands of Scott Andrews, leaped up to second with a late-session flyer that demoted the No. 4 Grove Racing Porsche to third place.

The top five was rounded out by the No. 25 AF Corse Ferrari and Garage 59’s No. 88 McLaren 720S GT3 Evo, just clear of Conrad Grunewald in the second AF Corse entry.

Fabian Schiller became the top Pro-class runner when he slotted the 2 Seas Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo into seventh place with a late 1:52.519.

He jumped ahead of Matteo Cairoli’s No. 33 Herberth Motorsport Porsche in the process, while the No. 99 Mercedes-AMG Team GruppeM Racing entry of Maro Engel concluded running in ninth place.

The top ten was rounded out by the No. 32 Team WRT BMW M4 GT3. The two remaining Pro entries, the No. 77 Mercedes-AMG and Team WRT’s No. 46 BMW, ended the session in 12th and 20th place respectively.

Qualifying is up next, kicking off at 6 p.m. local time (9 a.m. ET) with live coverage on the GT World YouTube channel.
