Jules Gounon has taken Bentley Team M-Sport to the top of the time sheets in the final practice prior to qualifying and the Top 10 Shootout for tomorrow’s Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour.

The Frenchman reeled off a 2:03.080 lap in the No. 107 Bentley Continental GT3 to go quickest of the 60-minute session.

Gounon was 0.0313 seconds faster than the No. 2 Team Vavoline Audi R8 LMS of Chritopher Mies, with the Kelvin van der Linde-driven sister entry third in the session.

A late improvement by Chaz Mostert put the No. 42 Team Schnitzer BMW M6 GT3 fourth, with the No. 912 Earl Bamber Motorsport Porsche 911 GT3 R completing the top-five.

The No. 34 Walkenhorst BMW, meanwhile, was sidelined for most of the session with an oil pump issue.

The session was halted with 20 minutes remaining when the No. 50 M Motorsport KTM X-Bow GT4 of David Crampton had a high-speed off-course excursion at The Chase.

While not making contact with the wall or another car, dirt was brought onto the circuit, resulting in a cleanup period to also retrieve the car.

Qualifying gets underway at 11:20 a.m. local time, followed by the Top 10 Shootout at 4:40 p.m.
