The reigning teams’ champions of the Blancpain GT Series and Blancpain GT Series Asia have committed to August’s Suzuka 10 Hours with both Grasser Racing Team and GruppeM on the grid.

Grasser will field a single Lamborghini Huracan GT3 while Blancpain GT Series Asia champion GruppeM will enter a Mercedes-AMG GT3 with a currently unannounced lineup.

Both teams had received automatic invites from the SRO for its titles last year.

European Blancpain GT champion and Rolex 24 at Daytona winner Mirko Bortolotti and fellow Daytona victor Rolf Ineichen are the first drivers announced in the Grasser car.

The addition of the Black Swan Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R, which was announced to be doing a full-season effort last month, and several other cars has brought the total number of entries up to 30.

It includes a range of FIA GT3, Super GT GT300 and JAF GT-spec machinery.

Honda Team Motul has become the race’s third Honda NSX GT3 entry, joining entries from CarGuy Racing and Modulo Drago Corse.

The team originally known has Nissoku has also changed its name to APR, and is set to run a Porsche GT3.

The first running of the new-look race is scheduled for Aug. 24-26 and it will serve as the third of four Intercontinental GT Challenge rounds, after July’s Total 24 Hours of Spa.
