Land Motorsport has committed to next month’s inaugural California 8 Hours at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, with the Nürburgring 24-winning squad set to represent Audi with a factory backed entry in the Intercontinental GT Challenge round.

The German team has entered an Audi R8 LMS for Connor De Phillippi, Christopher Mies and Christophe Haase.

Haase currently leads the IGTC Drivers’ Championship thanks to his win with Audi Sport Team Santiloc in July’s Total 24 Hours of Spa, with Audi also out front in the manufacturer’s title race with two rounds to go.

The Wolfgang Land-owned operation will be set for a busy two-week cross-country period, with the team set to also take part in the Motul Petit Le Mans, with De Phillippi, Mies and Kelvin van der Linde at the wheel.

The ten-hour Road Atlanta enduro is the week before the California 8 Hours.

Additional Entries Coming in for SRO Enduro

The grid for the Oct. 13-15 race is quickly shaping up, with news of Pirelli World Challenge GTS competitor Ian Lacy Racing confirming a Ginetta G55 GT4.

Ian Lacy, Grank Gannett and Drew Stavelely will pilot the GT4 class entry, to join previously announced efforts from TRG-AMR, ANSA Motorsports and Racers Edge Motorsports in the class.

It’s understood Audi’s new R8 LMS GT4 car could also still make its U.S. debut in the race.

Other recently confirmed entries include Black Swan Racing’s Porsche 911 GT3 R and to entries from the Australia-based MARC Cars operation, which will run in the Invitational class.
