Manthey EMA will return to the Repco Bathurst 12 Hour after finishing runner-up in last year’s event, having been confirmed with a two-car Porsche effort as part of a 31-car entry list released on Tuesday.

The team will field two Type-992 911 GT3 R’s, with the German marque’s latest GT3 challenger making its debut at Mount Panorama this year.

The No. 912 car will form part of the 12-car Pro field for the race, while the No. 911 machine has been entered into the Pro-Am category.

Also confirmed as part of the entry list is a two-car Audi entry for Melbourne Performance Centre, as well as the return of the Craft-Bamboo Racing squad that finished eighth overall last year.

Team WRT, HubAuto Racing, GruppeM Racing, SunEnergy1 Racing and Phantom Global Racing had their Pro-class entries announced previously.

Six cars are set to contest the race in the Pro-Am class, with Manthey EMA joined by Hallmarc, Heart of Racing by SPS, MMotorsport, Schumacher Motorsport and Triple Eight JMR.

The three-car Silver class, meanwhile, will see the sole Lamborghini entry from Wall Racing compete with a pair of entries from Tigani Motorsport.

The grid is completed by seven Invitational cars and three GT4 entries.

“Good luck picking a winner from this field,” said event director Shane Rudzis.

“The 2024 grid marks a return to the depth of competition that we saw before the pandemic, with international teams and drivers returning on mass to the Mountain.

“2023 was a great race but the depth and quality of this field is even better, so it has all the makings of another incredible show.

“To attract 11 overseas entries, up from 4 last year, is a positive development and shows the race continues to have significant overseas interest – which, I can assure you, is only going to get stronger with the advent of Ferrari, Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Corvette, among others, already planning to be on the grid in 2025.

“In the meantime, this will be an incredible show and another Bathurst enduro for the ages.”
