Walden Sets the Pace in Second Bronze Practice

Garth Walden took his No. 48 M Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo to the top of the time charts in the second and final Bronze driver practice session of the weekend for the Repco Bathurst 12 Hour.

Walden reeled off a best lap of 2:05.331 in the closing moments of the 40-minute session to edge out the No. 22 Melbourne Performance Centre Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II of Liam Talbot by 0.197 seconds.

The sister No. 2 MPC Audi of Brad Schumacher was third quickest, followed by Kenny Habul’s No. 75 SunEnergy1 Racing Mercedes-AMG and the Yasser Shahin-driven No. 911 Manthey EMA Porsche 911 GT3 R, which completed the top-five.

The session ran without any red flags, with the only notable incident with a spin and slight contact with the wall by the No. 91 MARC II V8 of Keith Kassulke.

Track action for the Bathurst 12 Hour resumes with Practice 5 on Saturday at 8:05 a.m. local time (Friday, 4:05 p.m. ET).
