Marco Wittmann topped the leaderboard with a time of 2:18.798, taking just over three seconds off the previous best set by KCMG Porsche driver Edoardo Liberati on Tuesday afternoon.
The No. 34 BMW that Wittmann shares with David Pittard and Sheldon van der Linde did not take part in any of Tuesday’s sessions but joined its two Walkenhorst teammate cars on track for Wednesday morning’s three-hour spell in dry conditions.
The full-season Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup contender finished just 0.066 seconds clear of the No. 25 Sainteloc Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo.

The top Pro-Am competitor was GetSpeed Performance’s No. 2 Mercedes-AMG in seventh overall, while Silver Cup was led by the No. 7 Toksport WRT Mercedes-AMG.
A different Silver Cup Mercedes, the No. 87 car from AKKA-ASP, crashed to cause a red flag near the end of the session.
This added to prior red flags due to stoppages for the Huber Motorsport Porsche and the CMR Bentley Continental GT3 which sustained a left-rear puncture at Bruxelles.
BMW continued to put mileage on its guesting M4 GT3, which completed 22 laps.
