The No. 82 BimmerWorld BMW M4 GT4 was quickest in Friday’s second Pirelli GT4 America practice at Circuit of The Americas, although it later crashed in the session to bring out a red flag.

Tyler McQuarrie laid down a best lap of 2:14.827 prior to an incident for co-driver James Walker Jr. on his out lap with 27 minutes to go.

Walker Jr.’s car primarily sustained front-end damage in the shunt, with the car taken back to the garage on a flat-bed tow truck.

The No. 51 Auto Technic Racing BMW of John Capestro Dubets made a late-session improvement to go second in the session, ahead of the No. 88 STR38 Racing BMW of Jon Miller in third.

BMWs occupied the top four positions, with the No. 92 Random Vandals Racing machine of Kenton Koch in fourth, and Practice 1 pace-setter Michael Cooper the best of the rest in the No. 2 Flying Lizard Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage GT4 in fifth.

Qualifying is scheduled to get underway at 10:20 a.m. CT ahead of Race 1 of the weekend at 5 p.m. CT, which will be streamed live on SRO’s GT World YouTube page.

RESULTS: Practice 2
