GMG Racing has confirmed a multi-car program across various SRO America series for the 2021 season.
Elias Sabo and Andy Lee will mount a full-season program in Pirelli GT4 America, with Sabo set to run a second Audi R8 LMS GT4 in the new-for-2021 GT America series.
They join the previously announced pairing of Jason Bell and Andrew Davis, who will have a similar program but in an Aston Martin Vantage GT4.
A Porsche 911 GT3 R has been entered for the GT America races at Sonoma and Circuit of The Americas with driver Kyle Washingon.
Team principal James Sofronas, meanwhile, will take part in selected GT America events with his Audi R8 LMS ultra as well as yet-to-be-announced Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS events.
Sofronas is recovering from shoulder surgery over the off-season.
In addition to the driver lineups, former SRO America competition director Marcus Haselgrove has joined the team for the year ahead.
“2021 will be another banner year for our program,” said Sofronas. “I’m excited for our great customer lineup and looking forward to working closely with each driver this season.
“I am also excited to announce the addition of Marcus Haselgrove to GMG, as our team manager for the upcoming season.
“He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our program. I have known Marcus since our championship run in the Audi R8 LMS Ultra back in 2013 as was instrumental in our success that year with the Audi brand.”
Haselgrove added: “During my tenure with Audi, we worked closely with GMG, and that relationship was instrumental in introducing homologated GT3 cars into [SRO America].
“Their organization captured the 1st American GT3 win, 1st American GT4 championship, with continued success across multiple manufacturers and GMG has a world class portfolio of race technicians, engineers and logistics staff within their racing program.”
