Jason Bell will make the switch to an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 in SRO America competition, it has been confirmed.

Bell — a longtime Porsche customer — will remain with GMG Racing, which will field his Astons in Pirelli GT4 America alongside returning co-driver Andrew Davis and a planned run in the new-for-2021 GT America sprint series.

“A new year means new things but a big thank you to Porsche Racing for all of their help and support over the past few seasons,” said Bell.

“Without their expertise and knowledge, we would have never been able to have the success that we had.

“The Aston Martin Vantage is a car that we have had our eyes on for quite some time. The customer service side of their program is second to none and will give us an even better chance to win in 2021.

“We have received the first car this week and have penciled in some test days to ensure that we are 100 percent ready.”

Bell is currently confirmed for full GT4 America and GT America seasons as well as participating in the second annual SRO America Winter Invitational, which will take place at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca on Feb. 19-21.

“There are so many cool things about this car, and I can’t wait to get behind the wheel,” he added. “With the GT4 America Sprint and SprintX podium and championship as the main target in 2021, the Aston Martin provides our program with the best opportunity to win.”

Davis added: “We battled hard all year long with the Aston Martins during the 2020 season, so I’m very familiar with the capabilities of the car.

“We had a very successful season with GMG Racing, and it’s a huge benefit anytime you can return with the same core group for consecutive years.

“I’m confident that we will be in prime spot as championship contenders in 2021. I’d like to thank Jason Bell, GMG Racing, and Aston Martin for this awesome opportunity.”
