WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca will play host to the second annual SRO Winter Invitational, which has been confirmed as a single event weekend.

Scheduled for Feb. 19-21, the pre-season series of races replaces a three-weekend season at Thermal Club that was contested between November 2019 and January 2020.

A similar format, which featured single-driver sprint races for GT2, GT3, GT4 and TC America machinery, is expected for the weekend.

The 2.238-mile, 11-turn circuit most recently played host to SRO competitors in 2019 with the California 8 Hour, although had been a mainstay in World Challenge for a number of years prior.

SRO America said the Laguna event, which takes place two weeks before the 2021 season opener at Sonoma Raceway offers a “tune-up for teams and drivers” prior to the start of the new season.
