Harry Gottsacker will make his return to Samantha Tan Racing, piloting a BMW M4 GT4 in the team’s STR38 Motorsports offshoot in Pirelli GT4 America competition beginning with this weekend’s rounds at NOLA Motorsports Park.
Gottsacker has been drafted into the No. 88 BMW in the Silver class alongside Chandler Hull, who kicked off the season with team manager Jon Miller at Sonoma Raceway, scoring a pair of top-five finishes in class.
Miller will rejoin Hull at the Circuit of The Americas round next month due to Gottsacker’s Nürburgring 24 commitments with Hyundai.
“I’m looking forward to another season with Samantha Tan Racing and STR38 Motorsports in GT4 America,” Gottsacker said. “We have had some great success together in the past and we are looking forward to continuing in that way.
“The new BMW M4 GT4 looks to be an awesome machine and I can’t wait to get after it in NOLA and see what we can accomplish.”
Gottsacker and Hull are both previous GT4 champions with the team, with the two drivers also having been part of the STR’s debut with its BMW M4 GT3 in last year’s Hankook 24H Dubai.
“We are thrilled to have Chandler Hull and Harry Gottsacker to lead our charge in the Silver category of GT4 America” said Miller. “Their past successes with the team and their impressive track records in GT4, GT3 and TCR racing in the U.S. and abroad make them a formidable duo with vast experience to draw on.
‘The field is extremely competitive, and we have no doubt that they will continue to unlock speed from our G82 BMW M4 GT4 and represent us at the front of the field.”
