A late charge by Colin Mullan has given Conquest Racing West victory in Thursday’s penultimate Pirelli GT4 America round of the season at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Mullan overcame a ten-second deficit after the mid-race pit stops to reel in the No. 11 Classic BMW M4 GT4 of Toby Grahovec and pass the BMW with 11 minutes to go.

He stretched out to a 3.775-second win over the No. 72 Murillo Racing Mercedes-AMG GT4 of Christian Szymczak, who also got by Grahovec in the closing stages of the 60-minute contest.

It marked Mullan and Michai Stephens’ third consecutive overall victory in GT4 America competition following a sweep of the weekend at Sebring International Raceway earlier this month.

Grahovec and pole-sitter Stevan McAleer finished third in a sweep of the top three overall positions for Silver class entries followed by the Pro-Am class-winning No. 47 Nolasport Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport of Matt Travis and Jason Hart in fourth overall.

Hart took the class win ahead of the No. 15 BSport Aston Martin of Kenton Koch, courtesy of a final-lap pass on Aston Martin junior and reigning French GT4 champion Valentin Hasse-Clot in the No. 59 WR Racing Aston that came home third in class.

Smooge Racing’s Kevin Conway and John Geesbreght picked up another class win in Am in their Toyota GR Supra GT4, which ran as high as seventh overall early on in the hands of Conway.

It came after a foot-box issue for the Capstone Motorsports Mercedes of Kris Wilson on the formation lap, which dashed hopes of a challenge for top class honors.

The season-ending GT4 America race is set to get underway Friday at 2:35 p.m. ET with live coverage on SRO’s GT World YouTube page.
