Adam Carroll will complete Esses Racing’s lineup in Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS, with the Northern Irish driver joining Will Hardemann at the wheel of its Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo beginning with the season-opener at Sonoma Raceway in April.

While holding an extensive open-wheel background, Carroll is also a veteran of sports car racing and most recently competed in the Intelligent Money British GT Championship at the wheel of an Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II as well as the GT4 European Series in a McLaren 570S GT4.

Carroll and Hardemann will be competing in the Pro-Am class of GTWC America in their Mercedes-Benz of Austin-backed entry.

“I am really looking forward to racing with Will and Esses Racing,” said Carroll.

“It is very exciting to be part of a new team especially when [team principal] Dave O’Neill is setting it up.

“We have had some great success together in the past and it will be great to race in America again as I work with Will and develop our relationship.”

The Austin-based team recently announced plans to contest a selected number of GTWC America races this year.

“We couldn’t be more pleased to have Adam join the Esses Racing team and accompany Will Hardeman,” said O’Neill.

“We will be counting on his vast experience in all disciplines of motorsport to be able to have both the team and Will at a competitive level straight away.

“I have known Adam since A1 GP where I worked with him at Team Ireland and had great success and look to continue that success in GT World Challenge.”
