Circuit of The Americas will return to SRO America’s schedule next year, replacing Watkins Glen International on the 2023 calendars for Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS, Pirelli GT4 America and GT America powered by AWS.

Announced Friday during SRO Motorsports Group’s annual press conference at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, the Formula 1 track will serve as the third round of the GTWC America season following trips to NOLA Motorsports Park and Sonoma Raceway.

COTA had been ever-present on the schedule since 2013 but was dropped this year in favor of Ozarks International Raceway, which was replaced at the last minute by NOLA.

The New Orleans track retains its slot on the calendar, although now serving as the season opener.

The May 6-7 round at COTA will be followed by trips to Virginia International Raceway in June, Road America in late August, Sebring International Raceway in September before closing out the season again with the Indianapolis 8 Hour in October.

In addition to the seven-event GTWC and GT4 America calendars, GT America expands into a nine-event season with the addition of St. Petersburg to join the already established event on the streets of Nashville.

Both street races will support the NTT IndyCar Series.
