Hasse Clot Joins TRG for NOLA in 17-Car Field

Valentin Hasse Clot will replace Ross Gunn at the wheel of the No. 007 TRG Aston Martin Vantage GT3 for this weekend’s Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS round at NOLA Motorsports Park.

The Frenchman is the only addition to the 17-car field for Rounds 3 and 4 of the season, which will again see representation from six GT3 manufacturers.

Hasse Clot, a previous race winner in Pirelli GT4 America competition, will team up with full season driver Derek DeBoer in the Pro-Am class Aston Martin Vantage GT3.

With 11 entries, Pro-Am makes up the majority of the GTWC America grid, led by points leaders Colin Braun and George Kurtz, who picked up overall honors in Race 2 at Sonoma Raceway earlier this m0nth.

The CrowdStrike by Riley duo lead by six points over Wright Motorsports’ Adam Adelson and Elliott Skeer, who the class win in the season-opener, which was won overall by the No. 28 RS1 Porsche 911 GT3 R of Stevan McAleer and Eric Filgueiras.

A last turn pass by Ashton Harrison on Conquest Racing’s Manny Franco gave Harrison and co-driver Mario Farnbacher the Pro class win in Race 2 at Sonoma and the points lead in the category heading into this weekend’s pair of 90-minute races in New Orleans.

The Racers Edge Motorsports Acura NSX GT3 Evo22 pairing hold a three-point margin ahead of McAleer and Filgueiras, with Turner Motorsport’s Bill Auberlen and Chandler Hull third in the standings, tied with Franco and Alessandro Balzan.

While GMG Racing’s Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II, which contested the Sonoma event, will not take part this weekend, Bartone Bros Racing with RealTime is set to again be the lone representative in the Am class with its Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo for Andy Pilgrim and Anthony Bartone.

A pair of practice sessions kicks off official track activity on Friday, followed by qualifying and Race 1 on Saturday and Race 2 on Sunday. Qualifying and the two races will be streamed live on SRO’s GT World YouTube page, with additional programing available on SRO’s Twitch channel.
