Audi, Ferrari Drivers Added to PWC COTA Entry List

A number of new drivers or additional entries have joined the Pirelli World Challenge grid ahead of the season-opening Nissan Grand Prix of Texas, as the series released its latest entry list update late Sunday night.

Last year’s GT class runner-up Mike Skeen has been confirmed once again in CRP Racing’s No. 2 Audi R8 LMS ultra, as one of three new Audi names listed.

Madison Snow and Guy Cosmo have both been added as well in Audis, with Snow in the No. 21 GMG Racing Audi R8 LMS ultra and Cosmo in the No. 23 M1 Racing LLC Audi R8 LMS ultra.

Cosmo will be in the GT class while Snow is listed in the GTA classification.

“I’ve been coaching Walt (Bowlin) since late last year and though we were not planning on running COTA, we got to talking and everything came together at the last minute.  I’m looking forward to this,” Cosmo said.

Andrew Palmer and Bowlin were drivers of the Nos. 21 and 23 Audis, respectively, last year. Palmer started 2014 as a GTA driver but was reclassified to GT following an overall podium finish in his debut at St. Petersburg, while Bowlin would be classified as a GTA driver.

Additionally, Ricardo Perez, the 2014 Ferrari Challenge North America champion, is listed in a Risi Competizione-entered No. 62 Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 in GTA.

The No. 62 car was previously entered under the R. Ferri Motorsport banner with driver TBA.

Last year’s GTS rookie-of-the-year Jorge De La Torre steps up to GTA in the No. 4 Aston Martin Vantage V12 GT3 for De La Torre Racing LLC, and three remaining TBA entries are listed within GT and GTA (1 GT, 2 GTA).

The entry updates bring the combined GT/GTA field to 40 cars, with 18 GT and 22 GTA classified drivers.
