Rodrigo Baptista posted the quickest time in Friday’s second and final practice session for Pirelli World Challenge GTS competitors at Utah Motorsports Campus.
The Flying Lizard Motorsports driver took his No. 3 Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR to a quick lap of 1:59.460, edging out the No. 12 Ian Lacy Racing Ginetta G55 GT4 of Drew Staveley by 0.442 seconds.
Baptista’s time was marginally slower than Staveley’s 1:59.403 set in the morning’s opening practice session, which stood as quickest of the day.
The No. 80 Mantella Autosport KTM X-Bow GT4 of Martin Barkey was third quickest, followed again by Nate Stacy in the No. 14 Flying Lizard Motorsports Porsche and Jason Bell completing the top-five in the No. 2 Racers Edge Motorsports SIN R1 GT4.
No major incidents were reported in the 40-minute session, with GTS teams back on track Saturday morning for qualifying, which is set to get underway at 9:20 a.m. MT.
