Martin Barkey has scored pole for this afternoon’s Pirelli World Challenge GTS race at Lime Rock Park, edging out Ian James for the top qualifying spot for the 50-minute race.
Barkey reeled off a best lap of 56.430 in his No. 80 Mantella Autosport KTM X-Bow GT4, denying the Panoz Avezzano GT a maiden pole in the closing minutes of the session.
James, who led the one-and-only GTS practice session, was second, with Rodrigo Baptista qualifying third in the No. 3 Flying Lizard Motorsports Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR.
The No. 8 KTM of Anthony Mantella was fourth, with Nate Stacy completing the top-five in the No. 14 Flying Lizard Porsche.
While Lawson Aschenbach was sixth in the No. 10 Blackdog Speed Shop Camaro GT4.R, Mark Klenin qualified seventh and was quickest of the GTSA competitors.
