The No. 21 Conquest Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 of Manny Franco has lost its pole position for this afternoon’s Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS race at Circuit of The Americas due to a technical infraction.

Franco’s Pro class Ferrari was found to be in violation of Sporting Regulation 26.14 D, which requires a minimum fuel weight at post-session inspection.

The stewards have imposed a one-position grid penalty as a result for Race 1.

While normally having given pole to the second place qualifying car, the No. 94 BimmerWorld BMW M4 GT4 of Chandler Hull was also found by officials to have not met the minimum fuel weight of 2 kg in qualifying and also faces a one-position grid penalty.

The No. 28 RS1 Porsche of Eric Filgueiras, as a result, will now start on pole.

The results from Q2 are understood to have remained unchanged.

Race 1 gets underway at 3:10 p.m. CT with live coverage on SRO’s GT World YouTube page.
