Add another GT3 car to the mix for the Pirelli World Challenge.
Reiter Engineering announced Friday that its Lamborghini Gallardo FL2 GT3 has been homologated for the growing U.S.-based GT sprint series next year.
The GT3 version of the car, which has enjoyed success in Europe, Asia and South America, will compete largely unmodified in the GT class of PWC, joining the likes of Ferrari, McLaren, Mercedes, Aston Martin and Audi, all with FIA GT3-spec machinery.
Additionally, Reiter has established a U.S. base in Florida to help serve North American customers.
No customers have been announced yet, but GT3 cars have not typically been approved by the series without existing interest.
The PWC season kicks off with the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on March 28-30.
