Both the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo and Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo have been hit with pre-race Balance of Performance changes ahead of this afternoon’s first-ever three-hour GT World Challenge America powered by AWS race.
Issued in an updated BoP table by SRO Motorsports Group on Sunday, just before noon-time PST, both cars have been given 10 kg increases in minimum weight.
Mercedes-AMG entries from JMF Motorsports scored both the Pro and Pro-Am class poles, while the Porsche of Tom Sargent set the single-fastest lap in qualifying on Sunday morning.
They are the only changes to the BoP ahead of today’s season opener, which gets underway at 1:45 p.m. PST (4:45 p.m. EST) with live coverage on SRO’s GT World YouTube channel and on Twitch.
