A reduced seven-round schedule has been revealed for GT Pirelli World Challenge along with confirmation of a to-be-announced ‘Grand Finale’.

SRO Motorsports Group, the new majority owner of the series, unveiled the 2019 calendars on Friday as part of its annual press conference at Spa-Francorchamps.

It comes after the series’ new format, including 90-minute GT races, was announced at Portland International Raceway earlier this month.

Sportscar365 understands the Grand Finale could be held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, with the series currently in discussion with the venue for an October event, which would close out the GT, GTS and GT4 America West seasons.

As expected, the street race at St. Pete has been dropped from the GT season, with GTS Pirelli World Challenge instead taking center stage in support of the IndyCar Series.

Neither GT or GTS, meanwhile, will return to Long Beach, with Lime Rock Park and Utah Motorsports Campus also not on the schedules.

Circuit of The Americas will serve as the new season-opener for GT, followed by visits to Virginia International Raceway, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Sonoma Raceway, Watkins Glen and Road America, all as standalone events.

GTS, meanwhile, will return to Portland, which will also be a round of GT4 West.

Both GT4 East and West will feature five-round schedules, with one event in California still to-be-confirmed.
