Sargent Completes Practice Sweep at Barber

Tom Sargent completed a clean sweep of topping every practice for this weekend’s GT World Challenge America powered by AWS race at Barber Motorsports Park, putting the No. 32 GMG Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo quickest in Saturday afternoon’s third and final session.

The Porsche Motorsport North America Selected Driver recorded a best lap of 1:21.408 in the 30-minute session, outpacing the No. 88 Kellymoss Porsche of Loek Hartog by 0.657 seconds.

Sargent’s time was nearly one-second slower than his pace-setting lap from Practice 2 earlier in the day.

Frederik Schandorff was third quickest overall and fastest in the Pro class in his No. 12 AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo, while Aaron Telitz (No. 69 Archangel Motorsports McLaren 720S GT3 Evo) and Daniel Morad (No. 9 TR3 Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo) completed the top-five in their Pro-Am entries.

Qualifying is next up and is scheduled for Sunday at 8:30 a.m. CST, followed by the final three-hour race of the season, which takes the green flag at 12:30 p.m. Live coverage will be available on SRO’s GT World YouTube channel.
