Toni Vilander set R. Ferri Motorsport’s Ferrari 488 GT3 on top of the times in Friday’s Blancpain GT World Challenge America practice session at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

The Finnish Ferrari works driver, who is sharing the car with Miguel Molina, laid down a time of 1:16.199 near the end of the session to improve on his provisional table-topper set near the start of the 60-minute run.

Second-quickest was Dane Cameron in the No. 43 RealTime Racing Acura NSX GT3 Evo, 0.061 seconds shy of Vilander, while Andy Soucek slotted the No. 9 K-PAX Racing Bentley Continental GT3 into third.

Dennis Olsen’s time of 1:16.321 aboard the No. 91 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R, which led the times on Thursday afternoon, stood as the fourth-best on Friday.

Completing the top five was the No. 22 Alegra Motorsports Porsche with Daniel Morad behind the wheel, ahead of Ryan Dalziel in the No. 63 DXDT Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3.

Friday practice took place in dry conditions with eight of the 13 cars registering sub 1-minute 17s lap times, after Olsen was the only driver to break that barrier in the opening session.

Qualifying for Saturday’s 90-minute race is set to get underway later today at 4:40 p.m. eastern (9:40 p.m. UK) with streaming available on the Blancpain GT America website.
