Clearwater Racing will be the first GT4 team running in the Blancpain GT Series Asia not to enter a Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR, instead fielding a McLaren 570S GT4 at next weekend’s Fuji race.

The GT4 class has so far been made up of five Porsches but Clearwater is set to bring some variety to the category with a McLaren driven by Richard Wee and Weng Sun Mok.

It will be just the team’s second entry in the series, following a disappointing debut at Sepang when the team’s McLaren 650S GT3 crashed on the opening lap.

The full entry list for Fuji, the fourth round of the season, is expected to be released soon ahead of the pair of races on Aug. 19-20.
