GT4 title-winning squad AGS Events will step up to GT3 next year with a single-car Lamborghini entry in Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup.

The FFSA French GT Silver Cup champion and 2020 GT4 European Series overall champion will field a Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo in the new Gold Cup class.

It is the first team to announce its plans and driver lineup for the Gold category, which permits a mixed crew involving one driver each with Gold, Silver and Bronze ratings.

Mike Parisy leads the all-French AGS Events roster and will be joined by Silver-rated Loris Cabirou and Bronze-rated Nicolas Gomar.

Former GT1 driver Parisy represented AGS in the last two FFSA French GT seasons, driving Aston Martin Vantage GT4s.

Cabirou has moved across from fellow French outfit CMR, while Gomar was Parisy’s co-driver in the French GT Pro-Am class last year.

“It’s a dream come true to be able to go to GT3,” Gomar told Endurance-Info.

“Despite everything, we keep our feet on the ground. The team already has a relationship with Lamborghini after the three seasons spent in Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe [in 2017, 2018 and 2019].”

AGS Events plans to enter the GTWC Europe Sprint Cup rounds at Magny-Cours and Misano, although it is unclear which category it will race in at those events.

The team is also planning to file an entry request for Road to Le Mans, ahead of a potential 2023 Asian Le Mans Series program with a view to earning a spot on the 24 Hours of Le Mans grid when the race switches from GTE to GT3 regulations in 2024.
