A new team called Audi Sport Team Slovakia has been launched for a partial Blancpain GT Series entry later this season. (En Français)
The team will run an Audi R8 LMS to be driven by former Minardi F1 test driver Jirko Malcharek and his son Christian.
It is expected to enter the Misano, Hungaroring, Nürburgring and Barcelona rounds of the Blancpain GT Series.
“Audi Slovakia has expressed interest in supporting sales of the R8 and the RS lineup by collaborating with a racing team in one of the most prestigious leagues in Europe, said Jirko Malcharek.
