Bentley Team M-Sport’s pair of 2018-spec Continental GT3s set the pace during a private test day for the Total 24 Hours of Spa run by Belgian Audi Club Team WRT on Wednesday.

The WRT-organized test saw more than 50 cars, most of which will be competing in the Blancpain GT Series centerpiece later this month, take to the track again following Tuesday’s official test day.

Bentley finished the morning session 1-2 while its two cars were separated by ROWE Racing in the afternoon, although the No. 7 Bentley is understood to have had a technical problem.

The quickest lap time of the day was a 2:19.637 set in the morning by the No. 8 car driven by Andy Soucek, Maxime Soulet and Vincent Abril.

ROWE’s No. 99 BMW M6 GT3 was the best of the rest with a time of 2:20.175. The team is yet to finalize its lineups for the race but John Edwards, Marco Wittmann, Nicky Catsburg and Jens Klingmann tested over the last two days.

The eight hours of running did have some rain while the morning session started on a drying track following a shower early in the day.

Several Pro Cup entries weren’t present, including the Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW, 2018-spec Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 and SMP Racing Ferrari 488 GT3.
