Shane van Gisbergen is set to join Von Ryan Racing at the Total 24 Hours of Spa, according to SpeedCafe.com.
The No. 101 Von Ryan McLaren MP4-12C GT3 was one of the late additions to the entry list, with team owner Dave Ryan stating to Sportscar365 that he would field a competitive lineup in the Pro Cup, without stating any names though.
Gregoire Demoustier was the only driver to test the car at the test day, but is already confirmed at ART Grand Prix.
Van Gisbergen put in one of the star drives earlier this year during the Bathurst 12 Hour in the VIP Petfoods McLaren, a car he shared with Andrew Kirkaldy, managing director of the McLaren GT program (above).
The Kiwi driver wouldn’t be the only V8 Supercars racer to compete at Spa, as Craig Lowndes will join fellow Australian Steve Wyatt and Michele Rugolo on the No. 52 AF Corse Ferrari entered in the Pro Am Cup.
Lago Racing also makes the long trip from Down Under and fields a Lamborghini for an all Aussie lineup of Roger Lago, Steven Richards, Steve Owen and David Russell.
