No. 1 WRT Audi Out for Weekend After Nogaro Crash

The No. 1 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT Audi of Laurens Vanthoor and Robin Frijns is out for the remainder of the Blancpain Sprint Series weekend at Nogaro following a heavy crash.

Robin Frijns damaged the car as he hit the wall after running wide at the exit of the final corner during the first qualifying segment this morning.

While the resulting damage didn’t appear to be too bad, further inspection showed chassis No. 604 was damaged and won’t be able to take part in the Qualifying Race and Main Race.

Frijns and reigning Blancpain GT Series champion Laurens Vanthoor got their new collaboration off to a good start yesterday, setting the pace in both practice sessions.
