Max Hofer led the second day of official testing for the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa to put Audi squad Comtoyou Racing at the top of the leaderboard on each of the two days.

The Audi Sport factory driver posted a time of 2:16.627 in the three-hour morning run, setting the fastest overall lap of the test after his teammate Christopher Haase led on Tuesday with a 2:16.741.

Hofer, driving the No. 21 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II, beat the No. 88 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo from defending Spa winner Akkodis ASP by just 0.057 seconds, while two Audis from Attempto Racing finished third and fourth.

The five-hour Wednesday afternoon session was led by Rutronik Racing’s Porsche 911 GT3 R courtesy of a late improvement from Thomas Preining.

The Austrian produced a 2:16.875 in the final 20 minutes to leapfrog the Porsches from Bronze Cup competitors Grove Racing and Herberth Motorsport.

Behind the German manufacturer’s 1-2-3 result was the No. 11 Comtoyou Audi that set the pace on Tuesday and the CrowdStrike Racing by Riley Mercedes-AMG.

There were more incidents on Wednesday after several red flag periods occurred on the opening day of running.

The No. 60 Vincenzo Sospiri Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO crashed at Raidillon in the first 10 minutes, while the Uno Racing Audi and the No. 56 Dinamic GT Huber Racing Porsche went off at Les Combes and Jacky Ickx corner respectively.
