Dinamic Motorsport is set to continue its two-car program in Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup with next year’s new Porsche 911 GT3 R.

The Italian squad, which was Porsche’s only Pro-class representative in GTWC Europe this season, has confirmed orders for Porsche’s 992-generation GT3 racer that replaces the current 991.2 model.

Team principal Giuliano Bottazzi told Sportscar365 that Dinamic is “100 percent” going to run two cars in the Endurance Cup and could also continue in Sprint Cup for the full GTWC Europe campaign. It will mark the team’s fifth term in the Endurance series.

He added that Dinamic hopes to secure a third 992 Porsche to facilitate the continuation of its NLS and Nürburgring 24 program as a development partner of tire brand Pirelli.

“We are waiting for the new car, but the plan is to have two cars for next year, similar to this year,” said Bottazzi.

“The program now is not clear, but the car is a bit delayed. I hope we have a clear idea to roll out strongly next year.

“We are expecting to have two cars. I have asked for three, but I’m not sure. But we are 90 percent sure to continue the program for NLS and Nürburgring 24.

“For us, it’s better to have a third car. But I am waiting for the answer from Porsche.”

Porsche’s Europe-based customers are currently expecting to receive the new GT3 car in late February. Porsche intends to start its global deliveries in the New Year with the intention to give each team enough time for pre-season testing depending on its program.

“I hope for the end of February,” Bottazzi said. “With the SRO championship, there is limited testing.

“The first race is April 23, and at the end of March it is not possible to test again.

“We have only one month to prepare it all. At the end of February, it’s OK for me. After is a little bit after the limit. Now all is difficult in this period, for suppliers and parts.”

Dinamic has developed into the reference full-season entrant for Porsche in GTWC Europe since it took victory on its series debut at Monza in 2019.

The team shared the Pro class with GPX Racing and ROWE Racing in 2020, and then GPX last year, however this season it has been the only Porsche squad in the top class beyond the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa, where more one-off entries have joined.

Bottazzi feels that Dinamic has “improved a lot” over the last few years running GT3 machinery on the continental stage.

Klaus Bachler finished fourth in this year’s Endurance Cup standings after winning the season-ending 3 Hours of Barcelona with Alessio Picariello and Matteo Cairoli.

The team’s chances of having a driver fighting for the title, however, were dashed earlier in the campaign by retirements from the Paul Ricard 1000km and the 24 Hours of Spa, which it led during the early stages.

“This year, the situation did not help for the battle of the championship,” said Bottazzi.

“But with the potential of the car, maybe we had a chance. It is the last year for this car, and at Spa we were happy to start at the front. We stayed there for the first hour.

“We have learned a lot about the car. The challenge is that in four years, Pirelli has changed the tires three times. But I think the level of the team now is very high.

“I am happy with this. We are not afraid of anybody.”

Herberth Also Planning for Continuation

German squad Herberth Motorsport is also planning to continue in GTWC Europe Endurance Cup next year with the next-generation Porsche 911 GT3 R.

Team principal and driver Robert Renauer told Sportscar365 that Herberth is awaiting delivery of its new Porsche GT3 cars for use next season.

In addition to continuing in Endurance Cup, which Herberth entered full-time for the first time this year, the German squad is looking to expand into the Sprint Cup.

Before that, it will embark on a final winter program with the outgoing Type-991.2 machine, entering the Gulf 12 Hours, Hankook 24 Hours of Dubai and Asian Le Mans Series.
