Dinamic GT will switch to running the Ford Mustang GT3 in Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS next year after five seasons with Porsche.

The Italian squad is set to sample Ford’s new Multimatic-built customer racing product for the first time during a post-season test at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Monday.

A team spokesperson told Sportscar365 that Dinamic’s plan is to run a pair of Mustang GT3s in both the Endurance and Sprint Cups.

Its program with the Porsche 911 GT3 R is set to continue at the Nürburgring 24 and NLS where Dinamic has been Pirelli’s tire development team in recent years.

Ford Performance announced shortly after the Endurance Cup season finale at Barcelona that Dinamic will bring the American manufacturer into GTWC Europe next season.

It is the second confirmed European customer team for the Mustang GT3 after Proton Competition, which is aiming to compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

The Ford name was last represented in GTWC Europe at the 2012 edition of the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa when Marc VDS fielded a Mustang FR500 GT3. In the late 2000s, Matech Concepts developed GT1 and GT3 versions of the Ford GT sports car.

Dinamic’s shift to Ford marks a new chapter for the team after it won four Endurance Cup races with Porsche since its 2019 debut under the Dinamic Motorsport banner.

It ran GT3 Porsches alongside a parallel Carrera Cup effort until this year when the directors of each department went their separate ways while retaining the Dinamic name.

Dinamic GT operated three of the new Type-992 Porsche 911 GT3 Rs in this year’s GTWC Europe Endurance Cup season, including a car in the Pro class for Christian Engelhart, Ayhancan Guven and Sven Mueller.

Two of the chassis were Dinamic-owned but the third vehicle had to be loaned, initially from Huber Racing but later from Car Collection Motorsport, to fulfill a three-car entry.
