Emil Frey Racing has adjusted its Silver Cup driving squad for the final two Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup races this season.

Two-time ADAC GT Masters race winner Mick Wishofer has replaced Tuomas Tujula in the No. 14 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo for this weekend’s fixture at Hockenheim and the Barcelona season finale in early October.

Tujula is unable to contest the remaining Endurance Cup rounds due to “budget issues” according to the Finnish driver.

Wishofer will step in and partner Konsta Lappalainen and Stuart White, who contested the first three rounds of the Endurance Cup season – including the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa – alongside Tujula.

Wishofer, 22, is set for his first GTWC Europe Endurance Cup appearance but he did compete in a Sprint Cup round in 2020 with former Mercedes-AMG squad Toksport WRT.

The Austrian currently shares an Emil Frey Racing Lamborghini with Lappalainen in ADAC GT Masters. In June the pair won the first race at Zandvoort, as part of a weekend sweep for the Switzerland-based Emil Frey team.

Lappalainen and White sit fourth in the Endurance Cup Silver points standings following a third-place finish at the 24 Hours of Spa in July. Their Lamborghini was one of three Silver Cup cars to reach the top 20 Super Pole shootout, based on average qualifying times.
