Reigning Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup champion Jules Gounon will join GetSpeed Performance for his title defense as part of an all-factory driver lineup for the German team.

The Andorran driver will team up with Luca Stolz, another former Endurance Cup champion, and Fabian Schiller aboard the No. 2 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo.

Gounon took the title last year driving alongside Raffaele Marciello and Timur Boguslavskiy at Akkodis ASP Team last year and will be the only driver out of the three to defend his title in Mercedes-AMG machinery.

While Boguslavskiy will focus on a Lexus LMGT3 campaign in the FIA World Endurance Championship this season, Gounon and Marciello are set to go head-to-head after the latter switched to BMW and Team WRT over the winter.

Gounon, meanwhile, will dovetail his Endurance season with an assault on the Sprint Cup title with Boutsen VDS and Maximilian Goetz.

“With two second places at Circuit Paul Ricard and at the Nürburgring, as well as a fourth position at the finale in Barcelona, we have demonstrated strong performance,” said Adam Osieka, GetSpeed CEO and team principal.

“With the experienced driver trio Fabian, Jules, and Luca, we are aiming for the title in 2024.”

GetSpeed will field three cars in Endurance Cup this season, having confirmed the rest of its driver crews last week.

Anthony Bartone,  James Kell and Yannick Mettler will pilot its No. 3 car in Silver Cup, while the Gold Cup-entered No. 777 Al Manar Racing entry is set to be driven by Al Faisal Al Zubair, Mikael Grenier and Dominik Baumann.
