HTP Motorsport announced Sunday a two-car full-season program in the Blancpain GT Series, while also confirming its driver lineup for next month’s Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour.

The German squad, which won last year’s 24 Hours of Spa and Blancpain 1000 at the Nurburgring, will make its Bathurst debut with a brand-new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 for defending race winner Thomas Jager and co-drivers Harold Primat and Maximilian Buhk.

Both 21-year-old Buhk, who won the Blancpain Endurance Series Pro-Cup drivers’ championship in 2013, and newly signed driver Primat will contest the five-round BES championship this year, with the remainder of the team’s lineup as well as its two-car SLS effort in the newly named Blancpain Sprint Series, to be announced at a later date.

“I spent 2013 competing against HTP and knew exactly how fast their Mercedes package could be, so was delighted when they contacted me at the end of last season,” Primat said. “From our first meeting it was clear just how professional the team is, something that was further emphasized during our successful two-day test at Portimao.”

The German squad also also revealed plans of contesting the ADAC GT Masters Championship this year.

They will also mount an attack on the Nurburgring 24 and a handful of VLN races in the lead up to the twice-around-the-clock endurance classic at the Nordschleife.
