The No. 51 Iron Lynx Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020 of Nicklas Nielsen was quickest in Pre-Qualifying for the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa, in another stop-start session.

Nielsen reeled off a best lap of 2:18.292 to end up 0.032 seconds quicker than the No. 221 GPX Martini Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R in the 60-minute final practice session.

The Dane’s time was nearly a half-second slower than Dries Vanthoor’s benchmark 2:17.858 lap from Free Practice this morning.

The No. 2 Team GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo was third quickest overall in Pre-Qualifying followed by the Gold Cup class-leading No. 70 Inception Racing McLaren 720S GT3 in fourth overall.

KCMG’s Porsche, featuring the lineup of Laurens Vanthoor, Dennis Olsen and Nick Tandy, completed the top-five.

Herberth Motorsport continued to lead the way in the Pro-Am Cup but this time it was the No. 9 Porsche that set the quickest time in class.

The session saw two red flags, both for Earl Bamber Motorsport-run Porsches.

Piti Bhirombhakdi suffered an off-course excursion in the No. 39 Singha Racing Team-backed entry in Turn 6, followed by Stephen Grove going into the Turn 9 tire barriers in the No. 16 EBM entry.

Both cars appeared to have sustained minimal damage.

The No. 28 ST Racing BMW M4 GT3, meanwhile, returned to action after an accident in Free Practice for Maxime Oosten. The Canadian team made repairs to the rear end of the Silver Cup BMW.

Qualifying is set to get underway at 8:40 p.m. local time followed by night practice.
