Newly crowned Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia champion Dennis Lind has been named a Lamborghini factory driver for 2019.

The 25-year-old Dane becomes the first driver to have graduated through Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s young driver program to become a fully fledged factory pilot.

Lind joins the returning Mirko Bortolotti, Andrea Caldarelli, Marco Mapelli and Giovanni Venturini, along with new-for-2019 additions Phil Keen and Franck Perera in the Italian manufacturer’s works lineup.

Having made his Lamborghini debut in 2016, Lind claimed the Super Trofeo Europe and World Final titles in his debut season, prior to his promotion to the GT3 Junior Program the following year.

He teamed with Martin Kodric for this year’s Blancpain GT Asia title, in a FFF Racing Team-run Lamborghini Huracan GT3.

“The arrival of Dennis in our factory squad is not only a demonstration of his qualities as a driver and a young man, but is also proof that our dedicated young driver programs contribute to their professional growth,” said Head of Lamborghini Motorsport Giorgio Sanna.

“And in 2019 Dennis will have the opportunity to compete in the Blancpain Endurance Series in Europe.”

Lind’s 2019 European program has not yet been announced although FFF is understood to be expanding to the Blancpain GT Series and Intercontinental GT Challenge, in new factory-backed roles.
