Pasin Lathouras’ AF Corse Ferrari 488 GT3 has crashed at the top of Raidillon at the end of the second hour at Spa-Francorchamps, bringing the safety car out for the first time.
The Thai driver hit the tire barrier ten minutes before the end of the second hour, but walked out of the incident under his own steam.
The car was running on an alternate strategy with co-driver Alessandro Pier Guidi pitting early for fuel only before coming back in 20 minutes before the collision to replace his tires and hand the car over to his teammate.
The race’s first Full Course Yellow was initially brought out before the safety car replaced it.
Mirko Bortolotti and the No. 63 Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini Huracan GT3 are out front with the field behind the safety car, running ahead of Marco Cioci’s pole-sitting Kaspersky Motorsport Ferrari.
