Jesse Krohn put ROWE Racing on top late in the second Free Practice session on Saturday afternoon for the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup at Brands Hatch.

The Finnish driver is so far the only driver of the weekend to set a time under the 1-minute, 24-second barrier, with a lap of 1:23.972 around the Kent circuit.

He will share the No. 98 BMW M6 GT3 with Markus Palttala in tomorrow’s pair of 60-minute races.

Christopher Mies went second in the No. 1 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT Audi R8 LMS, going o.118 seconds slower than the BMW.

Dries Vanthoor was third, after going fastest in Free Practice 1, 0.159 seconds down on the leader.

The session was stopped for a lengthy red-flag period to recover the Reiter Lamborghini Gallardo R-EX which had a heavy shunt into the barriers early in the session.

Chassis damage has therefore ruled Caitlin Wood and Marko Helistekangas out of the weekend.

Qualifying to set the grid for tomorrow’s Qualifying Race gets underway at 4:25 p.m. this afternoon.

RESULTS: Free Practice 2
