Rutronik Racing has revealed an expanded partnership with Lamborghini next year with it running a pair of Temerario GT3s in the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS.
The team had previously enjoyed a long association with Porsche but was one of the first squads to switch to the Lamborghini Temerario GT3 for its competition debut this season, beginning what was described as a “multi-year partnership” with the Italian manufacturer.
Rutronik ran a single car across both the Sprint and Endurance Cup elements of GTWC Europe this year, taking two podiums, but will now expand to field two cars next season.
Alongside running a car in the Pro Cup, the second entry will be for customers in one of the other classes.
“In a very intense first year with the new Lamborghini Temerario GT3, we were able to make very positive progress on the project together with Lamborghini Squadra Corse and achieve our goals with podium finishes in the second half of the season,” said team principal Klaus Graf.
“We were aware that switching manufacturers in conjunction with the introduction of the new Temerario GT3 would be no easy task, so I am particularly pleased with what we have achieved.
“By expanding the project to two cars in the GT World Challenge Europe, we aim to deepen our collaboration with Lamborghini even further.
“The successes of our customer cars in recent years have impressively demonstrated the calibre of our customer projects.”
Alongside its Temerario debut, Rutronik retained a link with Porsche this year by fielding a 911 GT3 R Evo in the Bronze Cup for four of the five Endurance rounds.
It had enjoyed a successful five-season spell with the German brand in the series that culminated in it winning the Endurance Cup title in 2025.
