Sainteloc Racing has added a third Pro-class Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo to its stable for the final three rounds of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Sprint Cup.

Audi factory driver Markus Winkelhock and Finlay Hutchison will share the No. 27 Audi at Misano this weekend, followed by the rounds at Brands Hatch in August and Valencia in September.

Winkelhock and Hutchison already race together in GTWC Europe Endurance Cup, where they share one of two Pro-category Sainteloc cars with Frederic Vervisch.

Their eleventh-hour addition to the entry list for Misano brings the Sprint Cup field up to 30 entries for the first time this season.

Winkelhock has already appeared in Sprint Cup this year, having substituted for Team WRT’s Kelvin van der Linde at Zandvoort due to the South African’s DTM commitments.

“I’m really looking forward to racing at Misano again, it’s great to be back there and I’m obviously really thankful to my sponsors Hutchison Technologies, Evoson and In-Home Displays for making it happen,” said Hutchison.

“The deal has all come together pretty quickly, so it’s been a bit of a hectic few days getting everything sorted out.

“Sharing the car with Winki [Winkelhock] is going to be fantastic, we’ve been working really well together in the Endurance Cup this year and I think we’ve got a great opportunity to fight for a couple of good results this weekend.

“Misano is a great track and the Sainteloc guys always do an amazing job with the car, so I’m feeling quietly confident.”

The Sprint Cup entry for Misano also includes the addition of the Allied Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R and a second Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo from SPS Automotive Performance.

Sainteloc Racing’s other Sprint series Audis are driven by Leo Roussel/Christopher Haase and Aurelien Panis/Vervisch.

The French organization is the fourth team to run three cars in Sprint Cup, joining Team WRT, AKKA-ASP and Emil Frey Racing.
