Steller Motorsport has expanded its GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS effort by confirming a Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R entry for the Sprint Cup portion of the season.

It comes in addition to the previously confirmed two-car effort for the Endurance Cup, both cars which are currently entered in the Bronze Cup class.

The British team, which took part in this week’s Prologue pre-season test at Circuit Paul Ricard, has yet to declare which class its Sprint Cup car will compete in.

It did not appear on SRO Motorsports Group’s initial 41-car Sprint Cup entry list that was released last week.

“The weather did its best to make things difficult over these two days, but it was still good to get back out on track with our competitors and see how we stack up,” said team manager Max Daymond.

“We got a good number of laps in, in both the wet and the dry – and it was really wet yesterday – which gave us more data to work with as we continue to learn the new Corvette.

“It’s been a very busy start to the year, but it’s also great to be in the position to announce that we’ll also be contesting the Sprint Cup as well as the Endurance Cup.

“This was always our aim, and we’ll be announcing our driver lineup shortly.”
