TDS Racing ended Thursday’s Blancpain Endurance Series official pre-season test at Paul Ricard on top, although it was Reiter Engineering that led the way on the overall time sheets in the two-day test in France.
The No. 12 BMW Z4 GT3 of Eric Dermont, Henry Hassid and Franck Perera posted a best lap of 1:56.855 in the fourth and final test session, edging out the No. 17 Insightracing Denmark Ferraari 458 Italia GT3 by 0.210 seconds.
The No. 89 Reiter Engineering Camaro was third, with the No. 888 Triple Eight Racing BMW and No. 14 MRS Racing Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 making it four different manufacturers in the top-five at the end of Thursday.
Quickest overall, though, was the No. 88 Reiter Lamborghini Gallardo Extenso R-EX GT3 of Peter Kox, Tomas Enge and Bernhard Müller, which posted a 1:56.018 lap time in the opening session on Wednesday.
It was a considerable 0.837 seconds quicker than the TDS BMW, which ended the two-day test second quickest.
With its official test now in the books, Blancpain Endurance Series teams gear up for next month’s season-opening round at Monza on April 11-12.
