Dries Vanthoor set the pace in Friday afternoon’s second and final Free Practice session for the Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe rounds at Misano.

The Belgian, who formed part of the Nürburgring 24 winning lineup just five days ago, lapped the Misano circuit in 1:34.020 to put his No. 2 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT entry on top in scorching conditions.

Black Falcon was classified second with its No. 4 Mercedes-AMG GT3 shared by Maro Engel and Luca Stolz, going 0.434 seconds slower than the lead Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo.

Christopher Haase and Simon Gachet put their Sainteloc Racing Audi third, meanwhile, ahead of FP1 pace-setters Timur Boguslavskiy and Fabian Schiller in the Silver Cup-entered No. 90 AKKA ASP Mercedes.

Another AKKA ASP car, the No. 87 entry of Mauro Ricci and Jim Pla, led the Pro-Am Cup from ninth overall, while HB Racing continued to set the pace in the Am Cup with Florian Scholze and Wolfgang Triller’s Ferrari 488 GT3.

Next up is qualifying, scheduled for 2:30 p.m. local time (8:30 a.m. EDT) on Saturday, ahead of the first race at 7:45 p.m. (1:45 p.m. EDT).
