Walkenhorst Motorsport has set its first lineup for its switch to Aston Martin in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup.

The German squad has enlisted Tim Creswick, Mex Jansen and Ben Green to pilot the first of its as yet unnamed new-for-2024 Aston Martin GT3 car, which will compete in the Bronze Cup.

All three drivers have GT3 experience on various levels, although only Green has competed in GTWC Europe previously.

The British racer joined Walkenhorst for the Barcelona finale earlier this year, while also contesting the Nürburgring 24 behind the wheel of a Vantage GT3.

“I’m really pleased to be starting a new chapter in my career with Walkenhorst Motorsport and Aston Martin Racing,” said Green.

“It was a pleasure to race with the team at the final round of the Fanatec GT World Challenge powered by AWS this season and I am confident with the new Aston Martin Vantage GT3 we will have a competitive package for 2024.

“I’m also looking forward to driving with Tim and Mex, who have both proven their speed in their respective classes.

“A big thanks goes to everyone who put this program together, especially BAM Motorsports. I appreciate the trust and will give it everything next season!”

Green will be joined at the wheel of the Aston Martin by Bronze-rated Creswick driver, who competed in Michelin Le Mans Cup last season, as well as ADAC GT4 Germany racer Jansen.

The teenager already boasts GT3 experience through his time in the Supercar Challenge series in his native Netherlands, where he raced a BMW M6 GT3.

“Tim, Mex and Ben are really looking forward to their premiere in the Aston Martin Vantage GT3,” said team manager Niclas Koenigbauer.

“The entire Walkenhorst Motorsport team is already raring to go for the 2024 season. Together, we are looking forward to the season opener – and of course the collaboration with AMR.”
