Racing has been a big part of the Watkins Glen community since 1948. Cameron Argetsinger designed the original 6.6-mile course through and around the small village more than 60 years ago.
In the 1950s, a permanent course was built on 550 acres southwest of the town and underwent a major overhaul in the early 1970s. Today, Watkins Glen International is one of the most historic tracks we have in North America.
