SVK by Speed Factory Racing today announced plans to compete in the European Le Mans Series in 2015 with a Ginetta-Juno LMP3 car.

Speed Factory Racing competed in the Radical Masters Euroseries this season and will team up with Latvian squad SVK Racing for the 2015 season.

The Spanish-Latvian squad has ordered one Ginetta-Juno LMP3 car, with the intention to order a second car at the end of this year.

Latvian driver Konstantin Calko and Spanish driver Jesus Fuster Pliego have been confirmed as the team’s drivers for 2015.

“Our new cooperation with Latvian SVK Racing allowed us to progress a relationship with Ginetta-Juno,” Team Manager Dalius Steponavicius said.

“We believe we can develop a strong and successful team through this collaboration thanks to the purchase of the Ginetta-Juno LMP3 car, and we already have a strong driver-line up for the first car.”

Calko is set to become the first Latvian driver in the ELMS.

“I am very happy to come closer to my life goal of competing in the Le Mans 24 Hours,” the 20-year-old said.

“Over the last three years, I have had incredible time with the Speed Factory Racing team achieving, winning the Radical European Masters in 2012 and vice-champion in 2013, and now we are ready to go higher.”
