Michelin Le Mans Cup championship-winning team TF Sport will step up to the European Le Mans Series in 2017, confirming Nicki Thiim in its Aston Martin V8 Vantage GTE.

The Tom Ferrier-led team, that also claimed the British GT Championship alongside the Michelin Le Mans Cup honors in 2016, will join Beechdean AMR in the ELMS’ Aston Martin contingent in 2017.

Salih Yoluc and Euan Hankey continue with the team having competed together in the Le Mans Cup last year, but they will be joined by Aston Martin Racing factory driver and reigning WEC GTE-Pro champion Thiim.

TF Sport has been awarded an entry to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the GTE-Pro class, in which Thiim will be replaced by Rob Bell in the No. 90 Aston Martin, owing to the Dane’s full-season FIA WEC commitments.
